燒錄韌體Flash the firmware

先唔好插線。揀型號，撳「安裝」；等揀 port 嗰個窗彈咗出嚟，先插 USB-C 線 —— 新出現嗰項就係你部機。瀏覽器會自己令佢入下載模式，唔使撳裝置上面任何掣。Don't plug in yet. Pick your model and press Install; when the port picker appears, then plug the USB-C cable in — the entry that appears is your device. The browser handles download mode itself; no button on the device needs pressing.

撳咗「安裝」之後 · After you press Install 瀏覽器頂部會彈個細窗叫你揀「串行埠 serial port」，一開通常係空嘅 —— 就係嗰陣先插 USB-C 線落部機。個窗會即刻多咗一項，好似 USB Serial、wchusbserial… 或者 CH340： 揀啱啱出現嗰個，撳「連接 Connect」。插咗都冇新項目？多數係條線淨係叉到電、傳唔到資料 —— 換條數據線，或者換個 USB 插口再試。 A small popup asks you to pick a serial port. It opens empty — that is the moment to plug the USB-C cable in. An entry appears at once, named something like USB Serial, wchusbserial… or CH340: pick the new one and press Connect. Nothing appears? The cable is almost certainly charge-only — swap in a data cable or try another USB port.

冇 WebSerial？用 UF2 拖放安裝 UF2 drag-and-drop fallback

而家未有 .uf2 檔下載 —— 要等第一個公開 release，同上面個安裝掣等緊同一件事。等唔切就自己由 repo build（tools/release/README.md 有齊指令），出嚟嗰個照下面拖入去就得。 No .uf2 exists yet — the first public release produces it, the same thing the Install button is waiting for. To go ahead now, build one from the repo (tools/release/README.md has the commands) and drag it in as below.

攞到 firmware-e1002.uf2（release 出咗就喺 GitHub 下載，未出就用自己 build 嗰個）。Get firmware-e1002.uf2 — from the GitHub release once one exists, or the one you built.
插上 USB-C，快手撳兩下 RESET 掣。Connect USB-C and double-tap the RESET button.
電腦會多咗一個叫 XIAO-BOOT 嘅磁碟。A drive named XIAO-BOOT appears.
將 .uf2 檔案拖入去。個磁碟自己彈走就即係搞掂，裝置會自己重啟。Copy the .uf2 onto it; the drive ejects itself and the device reboots.
之後照樣去設定頁，用電話完成 WiFi 同揀版。Then continue on the setup page — Wi-Fi and pages both happen on your phone.

UF2 檔案由完整燒錄映像（flash offset 0x0）轉換，所以一次拖放就等於整塊 flash 都寫好。

等佢開返機Wait for it to come back up

燒錄完，裝置會自己重啟，再畫第一個畫面。電子紙刷新一次就成 30 秒，所以大概 40 秒先見到嘢。呢一格會自己問住部機，你淨係要唔好拔線。

燒錄完成之後，呢度會自動開始檢查。This starts by itself once the flash finishes.

畫面好似凍結咗？ · The screen looks frozen? 電子紙刷新期間會停喺舊圖，成 30 秒唔郁 —— 正常嚟嘅，唔係死機。第一次開機仲會「嘀」一聲。 E-ink holds the previous image while it redraws, so ~30 seconds of nothing is normal, not a crash. The first boot also beeps.

交棒俾你部電話Hand over to your phone

韌體入咗，電腦就冇嘢做。WiFi 同揀版，設定頁會教你用電話同綠色掣搞掂 —— 唔使再插線。

設定頁淨係教你睇個芒 —— 真正嘅設定介面由裝置自己開，用電話行就得。The setup page only teaches you to read the device's screen; the interface itself is served by the device and runs fine on a phone.

正常設定用唔著下面啲嘢。呢度係俾出咗事、或者想睇裝置逐句講咩嘅人。

經 USB 直接設定 WiFi Set Wi-Fi from this computer over USB

憑證經 Improv-serial 直接送入裝置，唔經伺服器。裝置要醒住先應你 —— 先撳住個綠色掣，聽到「嘀」一聲先放手（通常 5–10 秒）。掃描有時唔準，手動打 SSID 一定得。Credentials go over Improv-serial, server-free. The device must be awake — hold the green button until you hear the beep, usually 5 to 10 seconds. Scanning can be unreliable in setup mode; typing the SSID by hand always works.

ESP32-S3 連唔到淨係得 5 GHz 嘅網絡。The ESP32-S3 cannot join a 5 GHz-only network — the most common setup failure.

序列設定（開發用）Serial content setup — development only

?dev=serial 舊嘅序列內容設定路徑，留低淨係為咗開發同救援。正常設定喺裝置自己嘅設定頁做。 The legacy serial path for pages and the voice key, kept for development and recovery only. Bulk transfers over this link are fragile — the supported route is the device's own portal.

裝置一次最多放 16 版。呢個面板經 USB 線讀寫裝置上面嘅設定檔同 pack。

插好 USB-C 線再撳。搵唔到？裝置多數喺度瞓 —— 撳住綠色掣直到「嘀」一聲叫醒佢，再撳多次。

撳掣講「天氣」就轉版。要用 ElevenLabs 語音辨識，即係要一條 sk_ 開頭嘅鎖匙。成個 YAT 就淨係呢一項要開帳戶。

只有你撳掣嗰幾秒先會錄音 —— 冇「一直聽住」，冇喚醒詞。The microphone only runs for a few seconds after you press the button.
嗰幾秒錄音會經 WiFi 送去 ElevenLabs 做聽寫，換返一句文字。Those few seconds go to ElevenLabs, which turns speech into text.
條鎖匙經呢條線直接入裝置，唔經任何網站，亦唔會出現喺日誌。The key travels down the cable into the device's own storage — never a server of ours, never the log on this page.

YAT 序列協定 · YAT serial protocol

裝置清醒嗰陣接受呢幾個指令。路徑白名單只容許 /config.json 同 /packs/…，所以呢個協定永遠掂唔到韌體本身。

燒錄出問題嘅時候When flashing goes wrong

徵狀 Symptom	通常係乜事 What it usually is
插咗線，個揀 port 嘅窗仲係空白The port picker stays empty after you plug in	空咗先啱 —— 個窗開咗之後先插線，就會即刻多咗一項。插咗都冇？多數係條線淨係叉到電，換條數據線或者換個 USB 插口再試。Empty before you plug in is expected — plug in with the window open and an entry appears at once. If nothing appears, it is almost always a charge-only cable: try a data cable or another USB port.
自動進入下載模式失敗Automatic bootloader entry fails	快手撳兩下 RESET 掣，跟住即刻再撳安裝；仲係唔得就用 UF2 拖放。Double-tap RESET, then Install again; otherwise use UF2.
燒錄途中卡住The flash stalls midway	剔咗「完全清除快閃記憶體」再試一次 —— 呢個係救援用嘅。Tick “erase the whole flash first” and retry.
燒錄完，第 2 步一直等唔到回應Step 2 never gets an answer	確認條線仲插住，撳「再檢查一次」。仲唔得就拔線再插，然後撳住綠色掣，撳到「嘀」一聲叫醒佢。個芒有畫面就代表韌體行緊，可以照去設定頁。Check the cable is still seated and press “Check again”. Still silent? Re-plug and hold the green button until it beeps. If the screen has drawn anything at all, the firmware is running — carry on to setup.
燒完之後個芒完全冇變The screen never changes after a flash	等夠 40 秒先。仲係一模一樣，就拔線、插返，再撳一次安裝 —— 有機會停咗喺下載模式。Give it a full 40 seconds. If it is still identical, re-plug and flash again — it may have stayed in download mode.
